I am an illustrator and children’s book maker from York. I originally moved to Cambridge to study illustration at Cambridge School of Art and continued on to do the Children’s Book Illustration Masters. I now live back in York and am inspired by the countryside around me. Through my illustrations, I like to capture the small details that people don’t usually notice. I enjoy bringing to life and telling the story of characters and environments that have a quiet existence, however, when you add a little imagination there is a whole new world revealed! I love drawing out and about in museums, cafes or anywhere with plants, using pencils, paint, ink or whatever I have with me at the time.
